Lecture 1 – Tuesday 11 December: 4pm-6:30pm – Stephen Langton Building lecture theatre (SLB 006): From Europe to America. From the Nickelodeon to Rin Tin Tin. Sound comes to the movies … Bogart, Cagney, The Assembly line, Animation, Oscars, The War years, “Casablanca”.

Lecture 2 – Wednesday 12 December: 5pm-7:30pm – Stephen Langton Building lecture theatre (SLB 006): TV threatens the studios and the fight back. Censorship and the movies. Kubrick, Harry Potter, the internet and beyond. 

Stemming from his 45+ years in the Creative Industry, Rick has compiled and regularly updated a unique presentation of Warner Bros’ establishment as a major Hollywood Studio. With material straight from the WB archives including a wide range of exclusive clips and still images, be ready for some exclusive gems revealed across his two lectures.  Rick also brings with him, his exclusive “inside knowledge” and experiences from the 25 years he spent at Warners Bros.
