I always thought there might one day be some point in listening to the Today Programme, apart from getting a laugh out of Mr Grumphys and exasperated by BBC weather gibberish. This morning, somewhere among the incomprehensible business babble, a different kind of forecast – it seems graduate job prospects are on the up, even though starting salaries are not.
Though the report itself seems to be embargoed, you can read a bit more than the BBC soundbite in the papers. According to the Guardian “Graduate employers are predicting a surge in vacancies this summer after offering more jobs than expected last year, according to a survey of over 200 recruiters.”
Let’s hope they are right……
