Job Specification:
Working with closely with sales, brand communications, leading journalists and our retail partners you be seen as a high profile spokesperson for the products and be expected to discuss, often to a high level of technical detail, the range and the strategy than underpins it. To be successful in the role you will be required to coordinate and maintain essential tools and systems that will allow us to effectively track and plan competitors, market and retailer performance. It will also be necessary, working in conjunction with European colleagues, to undertake necessary bespoke research as needed.You will be expected to recommend proactive activity plans that enable strong business advancement within this marketplace.
An important part of the role will be to oversee the pre-launch merchandising and go to market planning for the product portfolio. This will, among other activities, involve the collation and localisation of materials sourced from within the company, together with the production of bespoke resources specifically focussed towards the UK and Irish markets. In particular you will be largely responsible for developing product training solutions for the ranges covered.
Using your extended product and commercial knowledge you will also be expected to offer before market technical support to a range of internal and external contacts. This will also involve the selection and testing of relevant competitor products in order to highlight the benefits of Panasonic products and recommend future developments.
Being a fully market facing role it is anticipated that regular travel will be required and this may also involve some overseas and weekend working.
Other duties will include: P&L Management, Product planning & selection, Pricing and promotional strategy, Inventory control & PSI Management, Communication planning, Supply Chain management, Market Analysis, Internal reporting including forecasting and P&L, Internal and external communication with key contacts, Contributing to delivery of the overall business plan and KPIs, Sample handing and management
Successful candidate must have: A proven track record in Product Marketing, Strong numerical & Analytical skills, Exceptional negotiation skills, Significant experience within the market for imaging products. Candidates with a passion for photography with strong technical ability in the digital imaging field will also be considered.
