Good news from Chris Hainstock:
The new Sound Dubbing Theatre is ready for the students. We hope to have an official opening of the Lincoln Sound Theatre in late March with a special guest. See the Audio Production blog for pictures etc.
It’s main function is to allow sound mixing to picture, in stereo or surround sound, as well as recording physical sound effects (Foley) to picture, voice over and actors’ dialogue. This is suitable for Film, TV and any multimedia audio/visual project. It was constructed as part of the BA Hons degree in Audio Production and is potentially available to the whole Faculty in the future. This is a valuable new asset which will enhance the student experience and potentially attract outside clients in due course.
Official opening is slated for end of March – Spread the word if you or anyone you know needs to dub their film or video project. We intend to offer competitive rates and I’m confident that graduates will be particularly welcome – (discount? almost certainly)
We’ll post an update when we have a firm date for the launch. [Ed]
