Despite studying Journalism at Lincoln, it has been a pleasure to be involved with the alumni network in recent time and I hope to continue to do so.
On a news topic, we are now raising the final bit of finance for a French language drama short called ‘Lolotte’.

Clementine Starling in Meeting Daddy
Our first short ‘The Third One This Week’ picked up a jury prize at Cergy Pontoise International Student Film Festival. We have also started distributing ‘Meeting Daddy’ to festivals and we are currently in post production on ‘Womble’ starring Will Smith (BBC’s ‘The Thick of It’) and Ben Willbond (CBBC hit ‘Horrible Histories’).
I honestly feel that the Lincoln School of Media is producing a high calibre of graduate and have had the pleasure of taking on many of them to work on various projects (and now make them part of my regular team when putting a crew together). Kate Plummer (graduate) has been production designer on all of our shorts and on our last comedy ‘Womble’ we had Daniel Gahnstrom (recent graduate) work as 3rd Camera Assistant/ DIT and James Lafferty (current student) as a runner.
All are incredibly talented and I feel this is down to the course prepping them for life in the industry. I have also recently been chatting to Freya Walker Smith, as is a great young producer and think we will be trying to bring her onboard for a shoot in France this year.
