I started BROKENLOGO in 2007 in my last few weeks of my course – undertaking my initial piece of professional design work for the University and at the same time as working on the promotions team for the Engine Shed in its debut year. Epix Media double with LSM Interns

LSM’s 2007 graduates Zoe Easey and Will King are co-directors at Epix Media in Lincoln. The creative business has doubled its turnover and its staff. Well done!

Senior Web Developer Zoe established the business in 2010.  A year later, Will  joined as a Videographer.  They say the “Uni-factor” has come into play, because the School of Media is where their first employees have come from:

Meet the LSM Graduates with their Top Tips

Meet the Graduates (MtG) is always a highlight at the Lincoln School of Media.  Katie Martin, class of 2012, captured our alumni at this year’s networking event between graduates and students. Katie’s just finished an internship at the Uni and now she’s landed a staff job here as Social Media Officer – many congrats. Dave Clancy_April2013This is my first blog post for a while – and in that time a lot has happened! I’ll quickly run through my life since Uni via a few links to previous blog posts, then bring you up to date with where I am currently, followed by a few hints & tips for current students.

For example, attend events like Meet the Graduates – I wish they’d had this back in my day! It’s a good chance to compare and contrast people who were in your shoes quite recently and figure out the direction you want to take.  I graduated from Media Production in 2007.  I was fortunate enough to immediately find work with Interflora British Unit as their in-house Video Producer.   Continue reading →

Dani Moseley New Year Update

I managed to squeeze in another TV job before the year was out! lol

It’s a Kids’ TV prog called ‘Which is Witch’ and I play the character ‘Ava’ who is a witch and older sister to one of the main characters. It was filmed in Belgium (which was great as I’ve never been) and its all done in 3D with SFX. It was a really good experience. The cast are English and the crew are French! lol so it was interesting everything having to be relayed in French and then translated (if need be) The cast were all fun to work with. I’ve attached a couple pictures of me in character, along with another member of the main cast (who was actually in the BBC Three hit comedy series ‘Some Girls’)

Filming was fast yet efficient, as they film two episodes a week and everyone is lovely, yet hardworking, which is EXACTLY what you need for projects like that. Again the feedback for my performance was really good, so who knows, where that new contact could lead. I’m not entirely sure when it airs, but I’ll definitely keep you posted. Continue reading →

Had a day of meetings and a uni catch up (With Staci Shuttleworth and Tamsin Nolan from my course) Always nice to catch up with the girlies and they’re both doing BRILLIANTLY in media. Staci has just been promoted to the head of scheduling team for channel 5 and Tamsin works either for sky sports or a sports channel/programmes like soccar am or something like that. Anyhoo!
