I graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2009 with a first class degree in BA (HONS) Media Production. I realised that getting experience in the industry would also be very beneficial to my degree so during the summer break of my second year I managed to get the role of camera assistant on a short docu-drama in my local area.

As scary rumours about graduate employment abound, Radio 4 is running a programme in which a group of alumni in the class of 2009 have been tracked since graduation, to get a clearer picture of the national situation.
Lucy Madge majored in radio production when she studied here, and she now has built a busy and successful career in London. She has worked both as an employee and freelance, so she has learned a lot of lessons about how to survive and prosper.
She came back to Lincoln in March to talk to LSM radio students and answer questions.
Andrew Sanders, class of 2005, was so impressed by his time on our US exchange scheme, that years later he married an American girl, emigrated stateside and got a job in the media industry.
