An Illustrated History.’ Rick’s a partner at literary agency The Blair Partnership, which manages J.K. Rowling, the Harry Potter films & brand and currently working on the BBC TV’s series of The Casual Vacancy. Rick has forty years in the entertainment industry from Vice-chair at the British Film Institute to Director at revived Hammer Film Productions and the Soho Theatre.

Award-winning BWNG at LSM: Craft of Creating a Web Series – book!

BWNG-logoCongratulations to BWNG ‘Brothers With No Game.’ It won Best Web Series at the BEFFTA (Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television & Arts) Awards 2013 and at the start of this month it won ‘Best Online Production’ at the Movie Screen & Video Awards.  The creators, writers, directors and producer will be guest speakers on Tuesday (12 November) to share an analysis about the craft of creating an online series.

The online comedy drama has also won multiple awards, from producing to editing, earlier this year at the LA Web Series Festival and our 2007 graduate Dani Moseley plays the character ‘Simone’ in BWNG.

Simon Dunn – Feature Film Camera Debut

Simon Dunn (LSM Graduate 2010) has been taken on as a Camera Assistant for a new feature film shooting at Leavesden Studios, “300: Rise of an Empire”.

Simon told us:

Simon Dunn starts on new Feature Film at Leavesden Studios

“I got approached to be represented by a professional Film/TV agency based at Shepperton Studios. They wanted to represent me as a Camera Trainee. I’m absolutely over the moon as things finally are starting to move forwards and I finally get to work on my first feature!
Mental!”

Simon starts next Tuesday as part of the underwater department on the new feature film, and we wish him all the best.
