Katie Martin, Class of 2012
Hi! I’m Katie, a Media Production graduate. I’m currently working as a Web and Multimedia Intern for the University’s Marketing department…which is definitely not the route I imagined my career taking! Throughout my degree I only ever wanted to go into film, but after finishing my course in May 2012 I was faced with unemployment (or staying in my part-time retail job) along with many other graduates.
I applied for various roles and internships across the country and found my current internship on the University’s job site. It wasn’t exactly the field I wanted to go into, but it did sound interesting and challenging. Continue reading

LSM New Media Social Enterprise
The Lincoln School of Media is setting up a New Media Social Enterprise to enable LSM students to work collaboratively with local businesses, organisations, charities, schools and community groups to provide them with media support and you with networking opportunities, creative commissions and the chance to develop your business skills. This Social Enterprise is being co-ordinated by LSM graduate of MA Digital Imaging and Photography Hazel Donnelly. Hazel will oversee logistical, financial, H&S, ethical and IP issues. THE GEMINI PROJECT is the first project for our Social Enterprise and we need two fantastic students to get on board really soon. Midlands on Film was a collaborative project between LSM and MACE. The DVDs are all on special offer and you can find out about the nine titles in the series here at MACE.
