Another Twitter find – Michael has posted news of the recent premiere of his film “I Work“:
“It appears everyone loves the film. Not that I had any doubts. Everyone laughed in the places I expected, everyone left with a smile, I had really positive comments regarding story, style and acting, and I feel proud of the film.”
Not content with becoming a BT Storyteller for the London Olympics, cycling around the UK and hitting the national press headlines, it turns out that Tom went to the BT BOA Ball in October and made a film about it, which he has just posted on YouTube:

Chris Hainstock spotted this story about Tom Mallion, Class of 2009:
Recent Media Production Graduate Tom Mallion is cycling around the UK as part of his BT Storyteller role. “I was as shocked as anyone when I turned to page 54 in today’s Daily Mirror (Nov 25th) to find that I had a full page spread on my TwoWheelDocs series…and I’m loving the James Bond image too, although I feel my cover may have been blown! Thanks to Laurie Hanna for the excellent article.”
We’re looking for new presenting talent for the live venues at next year’s Olympic Games. Working with a production team, the presenter’s role will be to entertain and inform the public before, after and during events. They’ll have to vox pop the crowd, interview sportsmen and women and introduce the action. The application closing date is Sunday 4th December.
We have just received good news from Andy McKay. The Chair of the Midlands Royal Television Society judges has told him that Dirty Diamond Media has been nominated for Best Fiction Film in the student category.
“This is a fantastic achievement for a charming film which I know took much effort and creativity to produce.
“What Does Otto See?” Directed by Neil Baker (Electric Egg) has won Best UK Animated Short at the Cornwall International Film Festival.
Otto, a decrepit busking hobo, bashes out a jaunty tune on his toy piano to amuse passers by and hopefully earn him the odd coin. But on a pavement full of street maestros why would anyone spare a penny for old Otto?
I would like to invite all film makers, animators, artists and creative types to submit a short (max 2 mins) film for the Frequency Festivals closing event.
