Indie-Lincs International Film Fest | 14-16 Feb 2019, Lincoln UK

Excited to see Indie-Lincs International Film Festival will be on in Lincoln (UK) from 14th to 16th February 2019. The fest “champions low and micro budget films and their filmmakers” and it was started 4 years’ ago by multi award-winning filmmaker and LSFM Senior Lecturer Dr Mikey Murray.

Indie-Lincs said: Tickets for Friday and Saturday are £5 concession / £10 full price for a day pass, or £8 concession / £15 full price for the weekend pass.  There is an additional 20% discount on advanced ticket sales via the Lincoln Performing Arts website, so don’t delay – that’s less than the price of a single visit to the Odeon, but in this instance you will have a choice of 7 feature films and nearly 50 shorts, with many of the filmmakers in attendance.  See the full programme here: www.indie-lincs.com.

Indie-Lincs 2017 | International Film Fest 16th-18th March, LPAC

Indie-Lincs is an International film festival that champions low and micro budget films and their filmmakers. The event’s organiser, lecturer at the University of Lincoln School of Film & Media (LSFM) and award winning filmmaker is Dr Mikey Murray: Our festival programme is brought to Lincoln through the hard work of student co-ordinators, who’re on the Film and TV course at LSFM: Becca Booty, Tom Durrans, Lucy Hansard, Ali Mendzil, Ben Reynolds & Tom Woodcock. Indie-Lincs aim is to help the best independent filmmakers from around the world showcase their original work and network successfully with their audience, other filmmakers and the indie filmmaking community. Screening of over 40 shorts and features at University of Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC).

Deputy Head of the College of Arts Dr Sarah Barrow: We very much hope that you can make it along to some of the Festival. Indie-Lincs Film Festival | Micro-budget film entries are open

Indie-Lincs-2017-posterIt’s back! Film entries are open for Indie-Lincs NOW until 1st December 2016, with screenings to be held in March 2017 at Lincoln Performing Arts Centre. Animation Degree Show, LSFM | 1st June 2016 at 1pm in LPAC

AnimationDegreeShow_1June2016Here’s your invitation to the ANIMATION DEGREE SHOW 2016.  Doors will open at 12.30 on Wednesday 1st June at University of Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC), Brayford Pool, LN6 7TS.  The show’s free and all are welcome.

Join us for the show at 1pm in LPAC and see a showcase of stunning students’ work on the BA (Hons) Animation course at the Lincoln School of Film & Media. For about a couple of hours there’ll be screenings and a short session for awards. The Animation Degree Show will be a lovely way to celebrate end of year work and meet the animators.

The Forecast (2015) at Cannes | By LSFM Grads, Staff & Students

The Forecast (2015) will be at the Cannes Film Festival, 16th-22nd May 2016, Short Film Corner. The film produced by Urban Apache Films was written by 2010 alumni Philip Stevens and Stewart MacGregor. The short has been screened at the London Short Film Festival, Kinofilm Film Festival and it’ll be at the new international IndieLincs Film Festival on 11th and 12th March. Indie-Lincs was established by the University of Lincoln School of Film & Media to champion low budget filmmakers and there will be over 30 shorts screened at Lincoln Performing Arts Centre.

The film was directed by Phil Stevens, who works part-time as a lecturer at the University of Lincoln School of Film & Media. Head of LSFM Dr Sarah Barrow said: Almost everyone on the production team was a member of staff or graduate, and some were LSFM students at the time the film was made last year. Continue reading

International Indie-Lincs Film Festival | Tickets 11 & 12 March

Indie-Lincs-Film-FestivalNews about a NEW international film festival called Indie-Lincs from the Uni’s PR Officer Rob Wildman: Indie-Lincs was established by the University of Lincoln School of Film & Media to showcase the talents of original and creative filmmakers operating on low budgets, including media students from across the UK and overseas. Screenings and awards will take place on the 11th and 12th March 2016.  Indie-Lincs Film Fest Director is LSFM Lecturer in Film Production Dr Mikey Murray:  We have been delighted by the response to our new festival and we are screening over 30 films from all over the world. We genuinely hope that the local community will get behind us and come down to join in.
