The Lincoln School of Media is the University’s top ranking subject [coming in the top 20 out of 89 courses in the UK] and its Graduation Day will be 8th September 2010. We captured last year’s graduation ceremony at the glorious Lincoln Cathedral.
Ever heard of George Boole? Well, he was the Lincoln born mathematician who made all digital technology possible, and we would like to celebrate his life and legacy here in November.

Sarah recently joined the Lincoln School of Media as Head of School, taking over from David Sleight. She kindly agreed to share her first impressions of Lincoln, the university and the LSM, and to suggest how the school and its alumni network might develop:

Watch out alumni! A group of level 3 LSM students have won a place at the Polar Film Festival this week, in Finland, with their low budget historical drama feature “Northmen”.
The atmospheric costume drama, produced and shot entirely here in Lincoln, is not for the sqeamish. It’s the grim story of five Viking warriors stranded in England in 1002 after their army has fled back to Denmark, following the massacre of all Danish settlers on the orders of Saxon king Ethelred the Unready…….
